Instructions

  1. Abstracts will be accepted via the web only. Hard copies, disks or email submissions will not be accepted.

  2. Click on “Online Abstract Submission” at the top of the page.

  3. Select your institution from the pull-down menu and click submit. If your institution is not listed, select "other university."

  4. Enter name of the presenting author. If you wish to add additional authors, just click the Add Another checkbox to the right of the name. This will allow you to put in up to 9 additional authors. If they are from another university or department, you can specify that as well by clicking on the "Different Institution/ Department" radio button.

  5. Enter your university/college Department title, address, institution, telephone number, fax and/or e-mail address in indicated boxes.

  6. If a student's work relates to an external grant, please specify the grant if applicable from the Special Interest dropdown menu.

  7. Identify your status: Student, Faculty or Other.

  8. Enter title of abstract in Abstract Title text box (150 characters maximum) making sure it is ALL CAPS.

  9. Enter the body of your abstract in Abstract Body text box (maximum 1,500 characters including spaces). After viewing, click Submit to turn in your abstract.

          SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE BODY OF YOUR ABSTRACT:

a.      You MUST manually type the text of your abstract USING THE EDITOR TOOL BAR located above the Abstract Body text box.

b.      By using the Editor Tool Bar while typing the text of your abstract, the formatting of your abstract will be maintained.

c.      WARNING: If you “Cut-and-Paste” the text of your abstract, your formatting could be lost. Again, please use the Editor Tool Bar to type the body of your abstract.

d.      As often as needed, you may click “Body Preview” to review your abstract for accuracy.

e.      When you are satisfied with the accuracy of your entry, click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

f.       Once you have clicked the Submit button and have submitted your Abstract successfully, you will receive an email acknowledgment of its receipt.

Poster Preparations:
On Oklahoma Research Day itself, participants will present posters featuring their research. Each poster will be assigned a poster number and a poster board (4 x 4 feet).

Poster sizes should NOT exceed 48" wide by 48" tall.
DO NOT mount posters on foam core or cardboard
.

Important Deadline:
Deadline for Abstract submissions and for Banquet Luncheon Registration: 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2007.

Revisions:
Abstract revisions cannot be accepted.
THE ABSTRACTS WILL BE PRINTED AS SUBMITTED.

Late Abstracts:
Abstracts received after September 14th, 2007, will be considered LATE and will not be printed in the abstract book.

Please Note that Email Abstract Submission is NOT allowed.
