MILITARY CREDIT EVALUATIONS


The University of Central Oklahoma awards credit for education received during military service according to the recommendations of the American Council on Education as published in “The Guide to the Evaluation of Military Experiences in the Armed Services”. Students requesting credit should submit the following documents to Enrollment Services located in the Nigh University Center Room 124.


Air Force - Submit an official transcript from the Community College of the Air Force.
Request one by sending a written request to: CCAF/RRR 130 West Maxwell Blvd., Maxwell AFB AL 36112-6613, phone (334) 963-2794, or you may visit their website at http://www.au.af.mil/au/ccaf/

Army - Army personnel and veterans who entered active duty or reserve personnel starting on or after October 1, 1981 need to submit an Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript (AARTS). AARTS transcripts can be ordered by contacting the AARTS Office, Ft. Leavenworth, KS 66027-5010, phone 1-866-297-4427, or visit their website at http://aarts.army.mil/Order.htm

Army veterans who entered active duty or reserve prior to October 1, 1981 – submit a DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.

Navy/Marine Corps - Navy and Marine Corps personnel who are currently on active  duty or reserve and those who separated or retired from active duty on or after October 1, 1999 – submit a Sailor/Marine/Ace Registry Transcript (SMART). SMARTS transcripts can be ordered by contacting SMART Operations Center, NEPDTC N2, 6490 Saufley Road, Pensacola, FL 32504-5204, phone 1-877-253-7122, or visit their website at https://www.navycollege.navy.mil/transcript.html.

For veterans who entered active duty or reserve prior to October 1999 – submit a DD Form 214.
U.S. Coast Guard – submit a U. S. Coast Guard Institute transcript by visiting the following website: http://www.uscg.mil/hq/cgi/credit.html, call (405) 954-0072, or write U.S. Coast Guard Institute, 5900 SW 64th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73169-6990. If a transcript is not available, you may submit a DD Form 214.


NOTE: Documents will not be evaluated until the student has earned 12 semester hours from UCO.
