Now Accepting Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 Graduation Applications

Applying for Graduation for a Bachelor's Degree?

Students must apply for graduation the semester before they plan on graduating.  The graduation process is:

  1. Apply for graduation.
You can obtain an application for graduation at the front counter in the Advisement Center.  Return the completed application to the same location.
  2. A few days after submitting the application, pay the Bursar's Office the graduation fee.  (Currently $35.00 per application period.)
  3. The application will be forwarded to the Degree Audit Department.
  4. Degree Audit will review your application to determine if all degree requirements have been met.  (Please note, the review process can take up to six weeks to complete.)
  5. If all degree requirements will be satisfied based on your anticipated enrollment, you will receive notification in the mail that you have been approved as a candidate for graduation.  During the semester you plan on graduation, you will receive further information regarding the ceremony including purchasing caps and gowns, tickets, and instructions on what to do the day of the ceremony.
  6. If all degree requirements will not be satisfied based on your anticipated enrollment, you will receive notification from the Degree Audit staff as to which requirements remain outstanding.  It is your responsibility to fulfill all outstanding requirements and inform the Degree Audit staff that the outstanding requirements have been met.
  7. At the end of the semester you applied to graduate, the degree audit department will perform a final graduation check.  Students who have met all degree requirements will have their degrees awarded within three weeks after the completion of the semester.  Students who did not meet the requirements will be notified by mail and will be provided further information at that time.
