By enrolling in the Success Central
Course (UNIV 1012), you can leave your fears behind. This unique 2
credit hour course is designed to give first-year students a head start
with their college experience. The course introduces students to
the University of Central Oklahoma's facilities, services, activities,
traditions and academic expectations. It will also help you
establish a sense of community with other new students, faculty and
staff. Classes are limited to 26 students and are an excellent way
to begin your Broncho experience on the right foot.
In the past, students who have taken this
course have had higher grade point averages and a better rate of
graduating. Talk to your advisor about this great opportunity!
SUCCESS CENTRAL
ACCEPTING PEER LEADER APPLICATIONS
The Office of First-Year Experience Programs is now accepting
applications for Fall 2008 Peer Leaders with UNIV 1012: Success
Central. Success Central is a unique two credit hour course designed to
give first-year students a head start with their college experience,
introduce them to UCO, and build their study skills. Success Central
peer leaders fulfill a unique role as an assistant to the instructor and
a mentor to the
students enrolled.
